Hatterene Update #3 – Pattern making #2
I decided to make the base first. Since her body is like the one of a small doll with a squid-like dress in pink and white that is overlapped with her hair, these last two create the heart-shape of her dress and the top layer respectively.
I already made the embroidery pattern for her smiling face, and I have been experimenting on how to deal with the color overlap in pieces of her hair and dress. Since I do not have an airbrush I’ve tried the manual way of gently brushing on textile paint on a piece of the fabric.
As you can see, I haven’t found the right color yet. But the good news is that this technique may work for keeping the softness of the fabric. An element which I do want to keep, since it would give a much nicer detail.
